  • About MI (me) Personal yüMIvü Profiles provide insight into 10 ways the individual is uniquely wired to engage with the world around them.
  • When creating a profile, yüMIvü incorporates 12 Profile Builder scores from proven platforms. Seven are from Multiple Intelligences and five from standard Big 5 testing, filtered for motivation.
  • The About MI Personal yüMIvü Profile not only helps the individual discover highly important Dominant Traits and other key insights about themselves, but also provides share-and-compare insights for 1:1 and group comparisons. When shared within applications like Friction Finder and Staying Motivated, profile comparisons create the people-chemistry awareness needed to work better together.

Glossary of yüMIvü Terms

yüMIvü

  • yü (aka you)
    • The profile within yüMIvü of another individual. This is accessed by clicking on their image/icon and looking at their scores. It provides coaching on how to best engage them.
  • MI (aka me)
    • This is your profile and coaching within yüMIvü. There are multiple drill down options to learn more. Each set of information is organized around:
      • Descriptive – What your yüMIvü scores tell about you and those in a vü.
      • Diagnostic – Where trouble spots may be and what to do about them.
      • Predictive – What to expect based on your yüMIvü scores.
      • Prescriptive – Things to consider to help your vü find its best People Chemistry.
  • vü (aka view) A summary that compares how we are alike, and we are different. You can add to or takeaway from the collections of individuals in your vü. When a change occurs, the app will adjust immediately, offering new Insights for success based on the new composition.

Meters

  • About Meters
    • Meters and Modules (see below) are how yüMIvü organizes insights about individuals and vüs. The formulas for the Meters are proprietary to yüMIvü but are based on a testing (the test you took) and coaching methodology derived from more than 25 years of use with businesses, organizations, and educational institutions.  
  • Communication Meter
    • The Communication Meter reveals a person’s preferred way to share and receive knowledge so that it is understood and retained. Some prefer to talk, read, and write; others like to draw, graph, and visualize; some like hands-on learning and sharing; while others can comfortably work in more than one way. yüMIvü recommends the most effective communication approaches for an individual or group; those that are workable; and those that should be avoided.
  • Approach Meter
    • The Approach Meter reveals whether someone prefers working solo or on a team. Certain people need time for introspection, some want to share ideas, while others can comfortably work in either setting. yüMIvü uses Insights on how to best structure group discussions and decision-making to make everyone comfortable.
  • Flexibility Meter
    • The Flexibility Meter shows how much structure individuals prefer to stay motivated throughout interactions and activities. Some prefer and others require organization and rule following. Others favor bouncing around in a gut-instinct world or creatively bending the rules. When individuals with both preferences are members of the same team, conflict can arise. yüMIvü coaches with Insights on how to find common ground for group success.
  • Consistency Meter
    • The Consistency Meter displays whether repetitive processes are important or vital to an individual’s success, or if they hinder progress. Some lose productivity when a specific pattern is not followed. Others can’t adapt to consistency, while others can work comfortably both ways. yüMIvü Insights share best-fit approaches for the use of repetition in meetings or group projects.
  • Focus Meter
    • The Focus Meter displays motivation and focus levels of individuals when tackling a task. Some compulsively work hard, displaying the ‘grit’ required to complete tough tasks. Others work intensely toward the goal but see varied paths to achievement. Some fight to stay focused, a byproduct of creative thinking and/or derailing distractions. yüMIvü provides Insights on how to handle these differences and blend those with differing approaches into a successful team.
  • Perspectives Meter
    • The Perspectives Meter reveals how defined and/or logical processes need to be for an individual or team to thrive. Some people are tunnel visioned, more comfortable with proven approaches and predictive outcomes. Others are more flexible, seeing multiple alternatives. yüMIvü provides a group snapshot that reveals gaps in team makeup and team connectors who can plot a course to common ground.
  • Confidence Meter
    • The Confidence Meter discovers how individuals and groups develop the confidence to tackle a task. Some naturally believe they can get it done and their positive attitude attracts others. Others prefer a proven method. And some like to practice an approach until they are confident it will work. yüMIvü provides a group snapshot to suggest optimal team makeup for a successful project outcome.
  • Recognition Meter
    • The Recognition Meter shows the amount of credit someone needs to stay motivated and engaged. Many need a pat on the back to do their best. Others don’t, if they believe they are doing a good job. yüMIvü includes Insights on how to tweak workflows to motivate recognition-seekers and keep them from distracting others.
  • Multitasking Meter
    • The Multitasking Meter shows how easily someone can return to a task after an interruption. Some people can jump in and out of conversations and tasks without impacting productivity. Others need complete focus, preferring a more sequential approach. yüMIvü reveals the ability of a person or overall group to handle interruptions, flagging those at risk of productivity loss and recommending ways to minimize disturbances.
  • Fun Meter
    • The Fun Meter reveals how much fun someone needs to stay motivated. Some people require or appreciate fun to succeed, others don’t. yüMIvü flags those on a team who need fun and delivers Insights on ways to make tasks more enjoyable for those who need to have fun.

Dominant Trait

  • Dominant Trait Crown Flags
    • Dominant Traits are highlighted by crown symbols. These are important to notice and understand.
  • Dominant vs. Dependency
    • Dominant Traits come in two levels: Dominant and Dependency.
      • A yüMIvü Dominant Trait
        • When a trait is Dominant, the individual will prefer it and work most effectively when using that trait. For example, if Show and Experience is a Dominant Trait within the Communication Meter, that is how the individual will prefer to communicate. Knowledge transfer and retention will be significantly more effective if this trait is used.
      • A dependency-level yüMIvü Dominant Trait
        • If the trait is a Dependency, the individual MUST operate using this trait. Others in the vü will need to come to the requirements for the “trait” as the individual with it cannot come to them. However, the individual can learn to Translate and Clarify things around them into the trait needed.
  • Communication
    • Written and Spoken
      • Individuals with this as a Dominant or Dependency trait will need to read or write in order to most effectively transfer and retain knowledge.
    • Charts and Graphs
      • These individuals will need visual communications for effectively transferring and retaining knowledge.
    • Show and Experience
      • A hands-on, show you/show me approach to learning, retaining knowledge, and sharing with others is key for individuals with Show and Experience as a Dominant or Dependency trait.
  • Perspectives
    • Those with a Dominant or Dependency Trait in the Perspectives Meter will need for most everything in life to be logical to them, numbers based, bullet point outlined, and fully analyzed to have comfort.
  • Consistency
    • Rhythm, repetition, pace, and pattern will be highly important or mandatory for those with Dominant or Dependency Traits within the Consistency Meter. They need structure that is stable and a cadence to everything they do.

Group

  • Personal - Family and Friends
    • Each yüMIvü user have up to 20 groups and compare up to 10 users (family members or friends) at any time.
    • The individual user manages which individuals and Groups they connect a profile to.
  • Company
    • A business/company can license yüMIvü and invite employees, customers, suppliers, and others to be part of its Group. Anyone within the Group can see any other individual within the Group.
  • Community Group
    • An option for organizations such as churches, agencies, and others to add People Chemistry to the mix through a Group subscription with yüMIvü.

Modules

  • About Modules
    • Modules bundle yüMIvü Meters into collections that relate to a business or organizational use case. Standard Modules included with each yüMIvü use are:
      • Working Together
      • Project Chemistry
      • Staying Motivated

Dominant Traits

  • Dominant Trait Crowns
    • Dominant Traits are highlighted by gold crowns. Recognizing and understanding them is important to your yüMIvü experience.
    • A Dominant Trait represents the most natural way for an individual to transfer and retain knowledge. Using the Dominant form will make exchanges significantly more effective.
    • Example: If Show and Experience is your Dominant Trait for communicating (as shown in the Communication Meter), you are at your best when receiving and sharing information via physical demonstration, i.e., “hands-on” experience.
    • For some, a Dominant Trait will be more intense. yüMIvü will flag this intensity as a Dependency level. This will by far be the easiest way for individuals with a Dependency to interact effectively.
      • When working with people who have a Dependency, others in the group should find way to communicate that resonates with those with the Dependency. Otherwise, the Dependency will struggle to engage outside of this trait.
      • However, individuals with a Dependency can learn to Translate and Clarify, which enables them to move interaction to a communication form that works for everyone.

yüMIvü Dominant Traits The yüMIvü Communication Meter flags three (3) Dominant Traits:

  1. Show and Experience - Taking a hands-on approach to learn, retain, and transfer information
  2. Charts and Graphs - Using visuals to learn, retain, and transfer information
  3. Written and Spoken - Reading and writing to learn, retain, transfer and information

The yüMIvü Perspectives Meter flags those with the Logic and Numbers Dominant Trait.

  • Individuals with the Logic and Numbers Dominant Trait are not comfortable acting without being analytical.
  • They require associated steps to be “logically” sequenced (e.g., numbers-based, bullet-pointed outlines, and fully analyzed scenarios).

The yüMIvü Consistency Meter highlights those with the Pace and Pattern Dominant Trait.

  • They require associated steps to be “logically” sequenced (e.g., numbers-based, bullet-pointed outlines, and fully analyzed scenarios).
  • These individuals need “rhythm” – i.e., repetition, pace, and pattern – to be most effective executing tasks.
  • Stable structure and a strong cadence will bring comfort

Approach Meter flags two (2) Dominant Traits:

  1. Introspective and Individual - Prefers working solo; need time for introspection and alone time. They often are fine participating in group activities but need processing time to reflect on how best to contribute to the group and to be comfortable with decisions.
  2. Engaged and Involved - works best as part of a group; wants to share ideas. These individuals naturally seek to engage with others. Group discussions, processing, and decision-making will feel most natural.

Better Decisions applies People Chemistry insights to help ensure high awareness and best practices are used when teams make decisions.
  • Decision Type and Risk Appetite Alignment – Shows how the Risk Appetites for a team tasked with making a decision align to the optimal risk appetite for the Selected Decision Type.
  • Decision Bias Risk Alerts – Shows what bias risks exist – including subconscious ones – as your team makes a decision. Drill down to see who is at risk and to answer two risk-mitigating questions.
  • Decision Buy-in – Shows what considerations and actions will be needed to achieve buy-in for your team for any decision made.

Reviewing Your Decision Type to Risk Appetite Match yüMIvü enables the user to select from four Decision Type options to align the type of decision with the correct risk appetite of those asked to make the decision. These Decision Types are:
  • Delegated - Select for Frequent/Limited Scope Decisions. Delegated decisions are those that are made frequently, are limited in scope, and have either low or expected impact.
  • Broad Impact - Select for Frequent/Broad Impact Decisions. Broad-impact decisions are those that are made frequently and have a larger impact across multiple divisions and individuals. Decision buy in is important as a broad range of individuals will have to enact the decision. Because of the wide impact, decisions in this category should be within defined parameters.
  • Break the Mold - Select for Infrequent/Major and Broad Impact Decisions. Break-the-mold decisions are those needed to address a critical situation or issue. There is often risk taking and a broad impact as these decisions are outside the course of normal activity and change or amend established workflow.
  • Ad Hoc - Select for Infrequent/Mid- to Low-Impact Decisions. Often loosely structured, designed to deal with lower impact decisions that are outside of the normal operations. Team members are assembled based on relevant knowledge/expertise and as a result may be vulnerable to unintended bias. As decisions are for topics outside of the norm, a degree of risk taking is required.
As shown below, when you select a Decision Type, yüMIvü highlights in blue the optimal Risk Appetite for that Decision Type and plots those selected for the decision making to their Risk Appetites across the scale from Risk Seeking, to Risk Tolerant, to Risk Neutral, to Risk Averse. This enables you to quickly see if your team is well matched for making the type of decision you are asking of them. Understanding and Mitigating Your Bias Risks When a decision-making team is assembled, yüMIvü examines 12 common bias risks to determine the propensity for the team to be affected by these biases. When risk exists, yüMIvü alerts the team of the risk and offers bias mitigating questions. The 12 bias risks monitored are:
  • Self-Interested Bias Risk – Is there any reason to suspect the team making the recommendation of errors motivated by self-interest
  • Affect Heuristic Bias Risk – Has the team fallen in love with its proposal?

It is important to note that yüMIvü does NOT identify actual bias but rather the RISK that such a bias could happen. When the potential risk for a bias is identified, the user can click on the bias alert to open an overview of those at risk and mitigating questions to ask. Guidance for Achieving Decision Buy-in Achieving buy-in for any decision made will be dependent on the manner in which you work to make a decision. YüMIvü draws focus to four groupings of individuals and what needs they will have to buy-in to your decisions. These groups are:

  • Simply select a pool of candidates and team size, and adjust selection sliders for task type, risk appetite, and expected duration to receive a stack-ranked recommendation for team members.

Team Creator can even recommend candidates to serve as team leader, including the ability to make selections with names masked in support of DEI initiatives.

  • Workflow Friction within the Better Teams Collection helps you find and preempt natural frictions at human handoff points within everyday workflows.
  • Finding friction points is easy. With yüMIvü, you simply outline the workflow steps and identify the humans on each side of a handoff. yüMIvü takes it from there, providing Awareness Alerts for natural human chemistry friction points to proactively address and avoid.
  • yüMIvü examines how each individual in the workflow is “wired” and applies findings across common yüMIvü meters. With this knowledge, your team can anticipate, understand, and avert any challenges from these natural differences. Plus, workflow templates can be saved, updated, and applied across multiple workflow needs.

  • The Meeting Management module aligns the meeting approach with attendees to enhance engagement and minimize costly, nonproductive meetings that frequently hinder success.

As with all aspects of yüMIvü, there is no right-or-wrong, better-or-worse profile for Staying Motivated. We’re all simply wired differently and how we stay motivated is unique to every individual.

What’s important is that we have insight into what motivates us as well as what motivates teammates around us. The summary graphics in Staying Motivated show this across the meters of:

Understanding the Bubbles in Staying Motivated Meter Graphics

  • Staying Motivated is about understanding each vü member.
  • There will be one to four bubbles in the graphic depending on how many of the ranges are represented in the vü.
  • Bubble size will change based on the proportion of the vü within that range.
  • Staying Motivated does not have Awareness Alerts. Motivations are unique but not inherently conflicting.

Project Chemistry

  • Project success often depends more on the compatibility of team members than their capabilities. yüMIvü Project Chemistry helps teams identify common ground approaches.
  • yüMIvü delivers a map to common ground for the best overall communication approach, consistency requirements, group perspectives, confidence development, the need for flexibility or structure, and how individuals apply focus.
  • While common ground represents the optimal approach for the collective project team, it won’t resonate for everyone. For these outliers, yüMIvü provides Awareness Alerts and coaching content to guide both individuals within and outside the Common Ground area on how to Translate and Clarify between one another to achieve the desired Project Chemistry.

What Determines the “Common Ground” and Why Does it Matter?

  • Common Ground is where the largest number of vü members are located.
  • Common Ground is where the vü will be collectively most comfortable.
  • Not all vü members will find the “Common Ground” natural, but rather, simply the most likely common anchor point for team chemistry.
  • If you find yourself outside the “Common Ground”, work to adjust your needs to the needs for the vü.
  • Help them Translate and Clarify into “Common Ground” to achieve and retain the chemistry needed for your project.

The Importance of Translate and Clarify for Those Outside Common Ground

  • If you are within the “Common Ground“ pairing, work to make it successful for others outside the “Common Ground“ too. If you’re outside, look to Translate and Clarify to fit in with those in the “Common Ground.”
  • With the Project Chemistry module, those outside the “Common Ground“ need to find ways to move into it. This can be most effectively done by using Translate and Clarify to connect one’s own yüMIvü profile to those in the “Common Ground.“ Create natural comfort for yourself by translating your yüMIvü profile into the “Common Ground“ language.
    • For an example, look at the Flexibility Meter Quick Take Graphic above. The Project Perfection person lies outside the “Common Ground“.
    • The “Common Ground” is the group labeled “Structured Chemistry” who often will adhere to best practices.
    • In this example, the Project Perfection person outside this group should find the best practices being used within the “Structured Chemistry” and work to insert best practices when they are missing.

Friction Finder

  • The yüMIvü profile builder uncovers how people are uniquely wired. The Friction Finder Module uses this profile data to compare individuals and point out where friction may occur during collaboration.
  • Color-coded Awareness Alerts provide strategies for seven common interactions – such as how we communicate or whether we prefer to work solo or in a group – to help preempt costly friction and build strong chemistry.
  • Users can easily select who to include or remove from a group. Awareness Alerts dynamically refresh with best-fit strategies for that particular collection of people.

yüMIvü Quick Take: Understanding Friction Finder Graphics
The yüMIvü Friction Finder helps you discover and address the potential for natural friction based on how individuals in a vü are wired. It includes seven (7) yüMIvü meters which relate to daily interactions at work, home, and with friends and community groups. These are:

  • Communication

Friction Finder Graphics Overview

  • Each Meter in the Friction Finder will have a summary graphic.
  • Each member of the vü will be placed in the appropriate range for that graphic. You can read about the ranges for Meter in the Quick Take Guide for that Meter under Learn.
  • The Communication Meter examines three forms of communication and the strength of need for each of the forms by members of the vü. It is both vertical and horizontal with the highest need to lowest need for each of the forms. The order of the forms will change based on the makeup of the vü.
  • The Approach Meter examines the degree to which vü members match to Engaged and Involved (blue side of graphic) or Introspective and Individual (purple side of graphic). There are up to three additional ranges that will appear below the primary horizontal bar: Limited Need, Natural Leader, and Limited Need.
  • The remaining Meters all follow a similar pattern:
    • Four ranges or classifications.
    • The color blue is used as a background if a vü member is in it. There is no additional meaning to the use of color.
    • Copy will appear below the graphic. Clicking on the Learn More provides additional information.

Awareness Alerts in Friction Finder Graphics

  • Awareness Alerts appear in each meter. These are indicated by colors which inform as to the level of the Awareness Alerts.
  • This enables the user to see potential friction due to differences in Range Classifications through their “lens” of friction-level and those of others in the vü:
    • Green friction indicators suggest little to no friction with others who are also green.
    • Yellow indicators suggest the potential for some friction and awareness will be helpful to understand and negate its impact.
    • Red indicators suggest that friction is likely, and awareness and understanding will be important for positive interactions.
  • The Gray Graphic will soon be an icon that summarizes the full image. The yüMIvü goal is to succinctly deliver information you can effectively use.

Recognition

  • The Recognition Meter shows the amount of credit someone needs to stay motivated and engaged.
  • Many need a pat on the back to do their best. Others don’t, if they believe they are doing a good job.
  • yüMIvü includes insights on how to tweak workflows to motivate recognition-seekers and keep them from distracting others.

yüMIvü Quick Take: The Role of Recognition in Motivation
Everyone needs recognition and vü members appreciate being recognized for a “job well done.” Further, vü members may need different forms of recognition and to different degrees, which is learned through the Recognition Meter.

However, for a Quick Take, two ranges will matter – Recognition Helps and Recognition Required. Regardless of the order in which they appear, these two will be the ones with the strong connection between recognition and staying motivated and the ones to look for in a Quick Take.

 

Recognition Helps Motivation Range vü Members see Recognition as Nice but Not Needed

  • If you have vü members in the Recognition Helps range, their motivation will be tied to how you recognize them. These are individuals who will be motivated by the occasional recognition for an accomplishment or a contribution to the team. While these compliments aren’t absolutely required for motivation, they help.

Recognition Required for Motivation Means more yüMIvü Research Needed

  • The first thing to look for in a Recognition Meter graphic is the presence of vü members in the Recognition Required range. These individuals need recognition to stay motivated. However, how they are motivated by recognition will vary and is tied to the Approach Meter. When individuals are in this range, awareness of the following will be key to keeping motivation high:
    • If they are in the Neutral, Own World, Natural Leaders, or Limited Need ranges of the Approach Meter, simply recognize them for accomplishments and contributions. This creates motivation for them.
    • If they are in the Needed or High Need ranges of Engaged and Involved on the Approach Meter, individual and public recognition for personal contributions will be key to keep motivation high.
    • If they are in the Needed or High Need ranges of Introspective and Individual on the Approach Meter, the individual will want recognition to happen from the perspective of what they did for the team. While it is still personal recognition, motivation comes from being complimented on how they helped the team around them through their action.

Multitasking

  • The Multitasking Meter shows how challenging or easy it is for a person to stop and restart projects or tasks.
  • Some individuals may experience significant productivity loss if interrupted.
  • yüMIvü provides Awareness to avoid unintended productivity loss due to those who can move in and out of projects with ease disrupting those who can’t.
yüMIvü Quick Take: Multitasking Meter Insights The Multitasking Meter shows how easily someone can return to a task after an interruption.
  • Some people can jump in and out of conversations and tasks without impacting productivity.
  • Others need complete focus, requiring a more sequential and uninterrupted approach.
yüMIvü identifies how a person or overall group will work through interruptions, flagging those at risk of productivity loss and recommending ways for the entire group to minimize interruptions for these members.     Things to Note When Using the Multitasking Meter. The Multitasking Meter identifies when Interruptions are problematic for members of the vü. When slight adjustments are made, vü members can function together with few challenges.
  • vü members to the left in the meter can move in and out of tasks with ease.
  • vü members to the right in the meter need consistency and uninterrupted work time
  • vü members to the left of the meter need to be aware of how change and interruptions will interfere with the productivity of those vü members to the right of the meter.
  • Interruptions can lead to lengthy, challenging efforts to resume or restart a task.
Ways to Help Multitasking Meter Members. First, look to see how your vü aligns. Then, work to make sure all in the vü understand how they impact one another.
  • Those who can move in and out of tasks with ease don’t have to change, they simply need to adjust how they “interrupt” those who can’t.
  • These individuals – whose location on the Multitasking Meter is rooted in a Dominant Trait – need their interactions and interruptions scheduled. They need a sequence and consistent cadence.
  • Scheduled interruptions are often fine. Unscheduled ones can lead to lengthy, challenging efforts to resume or restart a task.
Avoiding Derailing Engagements Success in the Multitasking Meter vü rests on those in the Interruptions are Fine and Indifferent to Interruptions ranges. Through awareness, these vü members can adjust their engagements and actions to meet the needs of those in other ranges. Learning to automatically make these adjustments may take time and active communication by all but the resulting removal of unintended productivity derailers will be appreciated by all.

Fun

  • The Fun Meter reveals how much fun someone needs to stay motivated.
  • Some people require or appreciate fun to succeed, others don’t.
  • yüMIvü flags those on a team who need fun and delivers insights on ways to make tasks more enjoyable for those who need to have fun.

yüMIvü Quick Take: The Role of Fun in Motivation
The Fun Meter provides an easy Quick Take on where Fun drives motivation as the only range that has a strong relationship to motivation is the “Fun Required for Motivation” range. If your vü has members in this range, pay attention. If not, look elsewhere for motivation.

One Group Requires Fun for Motivation but All will Enjoy It

  • vü members in this range require Fun for motivation and will naturally create this fun they need. Fun in this context means both enjoyment of work and job satisfaction. These vü members will also lead out in making the work environment fun for all.
  • The key, however, is to make sure these vü members can operate using their individual yüMIvü Dominant Traits. When able to work using these, motivation will stay high for these members and the Fun they have will benefit all around them.

Focus

  • The Focus Meter displays motivation and focus levels of individuals when tackling a task.
  • Some compulsively work hard, displaying the ‘grit’ required to complete tough tasks. Others work intensely toward the goal but see varied paths to achievement. Some fight to stay focused, a byproduct of creative thinking and/or derailing distractions.
  • yüMIvü provides insights on how to handle these differences and blend those with differing approaches into a successful team.

yüMIvü Quick Take: Focus Meter Insights
The yüMIvü Focus Meter shows how focused or creative a vü member may be in completing a task. In a Quick Take, pay particular attention to vü members in the Task Focused and Accomplishment Focused ranges but note that those in the Out of Focus and Creative Solutions ranges will need support too.

Be mindful of the needs of individuals in the Task Focused and Accomplishment Focused ranges.

vü members in these ranges will often be intensely focused on completing a task. To benefit from this intensity of focus, however, be mindful of key risks.

  • These vü members MUST be able to work using their Dominant Traits to stay motivated, particularly those in Accomplishment Focused. Dominant Traits for individuals in your vü can be found in the personal yüMIvü profiles and will be highlighted by a gold crown.
  • vü members in the Accomplishment Focused range will likely have different Dominant Traits so work to accommodate the individuality needed to enhance People Chemistry.
    • For example, the range may include both a vü member who has a Dominant Trait in Introspective and Individual on the Approach Meter and another with a Dominant Trait in Engaged and Involved. In this case, the vü needs to understand and address these differing needs, organizing in a manner that incorporates both ranges to support focus and to keep the vü cohesive. Similar scenarios may arise across all Dominant Traits.
  • Note that vü members in Task Focused or Accomplishment Focused ranges don’t need help staying on task. They are wired differently so they can stay focused until the task is completed when working in their Dominant Traits.


Individuals in the Creative Solutions or Out of Focus ranges have strong contributions to make BUT they’re going to need help retaining focus.

  • When forming a team, pair these individuals with someone from the Task Focused range to heighten the level of group focus needed to succeed. Avoid pairings with those in Accomplishment Focused where possible as these vü members are often so intense in their pursuit of completing a task that they are unaware of the efforts of those around them.

Flexibility

  • The Flexibility Meter shows how much structure individuals need to stay motivated throughout interactions and activities.
  • Some need and others require organization, rule following, and a pursuit of perfection. Others favor an intuition-driven, gut-instinct world or creatively bending the rules. When individuals with both approaches are members of the same team, conflict can arise.
  • yüMIvü coaches with insights on how to find common ground for group success.

The Flexibility Meter within the Friction Finder Module uses Awareness Alerts to reveal how differing needs from flexibility to structure can create friction for the vü.     • High / Red to Structure a Must as this is a natural friction.
  • Rules Optional – Individuals who need to expand or disrupt conventional wisdom. While these individuals are largely accepting of rules, they will not hesitate to move outside them if they perceive an alternative as better. They may also disrupt if bored by structure. When the vü has members in this range, expect Awareness Alerts to include:
    • Moderate / Yellow to Gut-Instinct Guru and Guidelines Good.
    • High / Red to Structure a Must as this is a natural friction.
  • Guidelines Good – Those most comfortable working within a set of guidelines but who are open to considering new ideas once proven. When the vü has members in this range, expect Awareness Alerts to include:

Most can relate to the role Confidence plays in strong performance. But what develops and sustains that confidence? Turns out, more than anything else, it depends on how one is wired. And that’s where yüMIvü can help.

The Confidence Meter in the Staying Motivated module quickly provides a Quick Take look at how confidence drives motivation within your vü. Expect to see some combination of four unique ways:

  • Personal experience
  • Observation
  • Proven Processes
  • Simply believing.

Two Steps to Success

The Confidence Meter isn’t complicated. It provides two core Quick Takes:

  • Look to see the overall group alignment across the meter.
    • Do any vü members need to experience their way to confidence? If so, you’ll need to pause for them to have the experiences needed.
    • Are you missing a vü member who simply believes? These individuals are very valuable to the vü. They lift the confidence of all.
    • Do you have a concentration around Proven Processes and Observation? If so, make sure there’s supporting data.
  • Look at and enable each vü member uniquely.
    • While knowing the size of each range within the vü is helpful, understanding how each vü member is motivated is of most value.
    • Unless these individuals can function as wired, they simply won’t build the confidence that drives motivation that leads to performance.
    • As a vü member, simply make sure these opportunities are there.

Perspectives

  • The Perspectives Meter reveals how defined and/or logical processes need to be for an individual or team to thrive.
  • Some people are tunnel-visioned, more comfortable with proven approaches and predictive outcomes while others are more flexible, seeing multiple alternatives.
  • yüMIvü provides a group snapshot that reveals gaps in team makeup and team connectors who can plot a course to common ground.

yüMIvü Quick Take: Finding the Power of Perspectives
The Perspectives Meter within yüMIvü is one of the most important meters to understand. It is about the natural narrowness of broadness of perspectives, and not about the quality of those perspectives.

  • Without awareness, the differences on this meter can create strong vü friction.
  • With awareness, differences can turn into valuable contributions.

 

 

Observe the distribution across your Perspectives Meter. Variety is good.

  • Challengers of Conventional Wisdom – will arrive at engagements without a preset Perspective. In fact, they often will easily see multiple perspectives and raise these as others speak to or through a single perspective. This quality helps ensure a balanced consideration of multiple options.
    • It also is likely to create friction with those in the Singularity of Direction range and will create a bi-directional high (red) Awareness Alert.
  • Both those in the Specific Outcome Needed and Singularity of Direction ranges will arrive with a narrow or preconceived Perspective on a decision or direction. They are focused and ready to take action. Individuals in these ranges are working within a Dominant Trait. Thus, their natural inclinations may lead them to simply not initially hear or appreciate the contribution of those who can challenge their thoughts.
    • These vü members are also heavily Logic and Numbers driven and once aware of the logic of an alternative can consider and adapt to it.

Without awareness, as discovered through red or yellow Awareness Alerts in yüMIvü, friction is likely and more importantly important perspectives are at risk of being overlooked.


Understand the “lenses” of the different ranges. More than with most meters, changing the lens within the Perspectives Meter will change the resulting Awareness Alerts.

  • vü members in the Challenger of Conventional Wisdom range have Awareness Alerts for Specific Outcomes Needed and Singularity of Direction.
  • vü members in the Openness to Alternative Approaches, a range often friction free in other meters, will have Awareness Alerts with those in Singularity of Direction.
  • vü members in Specific Outcome Needed will have Awareness Alerts as expected for those who are the Challenger of Conventional Wisdom but also as not so expected with those with Singularity of Direction.
  • vü members with Singularity of Direction have Awareness Alerts for all vü ranges, including their own. While they have a singular perspective, it likely isn’t the same.

 

Use these Awareness Alerts to understand one another. Again, a broad representation across the Perspectives Meter is positive but only when Awareness is high of how the contribution of vü members in each range creates a stronger whole.

Consistency

  • The Consistency Meter displays whether repetitive processes are important or vital to an individual’s success, or if they hinder progress.
  • Some lose productivity when a specific pattern is not followed. Others can’t adapt to consistency, while others can work comfortably both ways.
  • yüMIvü insights share best-fit approaches for the use of repetition in meetings or group projects.

yüMIvü Quick Take: Consistency Meter and Team Chemistry
A part of the Friction Finder module, the Consistency Meter displays whether repetitive processes are important to an individual’s success, or if they hinder progress when approaching communication, projects, meetings, and other interactions.

  • No Pattern Needed – Those who can excel without stable structure, repetition, pace, or patterns
  • Fine But No Need – Individuals who can work within stable structure but don’t need it
  • Strong Need – Those with a Dominant Trait who are at their best working within stable structure, repetition, pace, or patterns
  • Intense Rhythm and Flow – Those with a dependency level Dominant Trait who must have stable structure, repetition, pace, or patterns

When members of a vü fall in different zones in the Consistency Meter, your group will benefit from understanding and incorporating the needs of the members who have a strong need for rhythm and flow when tackling tasks, meetings, projects, and interactions.

Using the Consistency Meter to improve a team’s people chemistry is easy when you understand Consistency in the Friction Finder module.

Here are some key points to remember:

  • Recognizing those with Strong Need and Intense Rhythm and Flow ranges matters most. Any member landing here has a strong need for Consistency. Those in the Intense Rhythm and Flow range need to engage all aspects of life using pace and pattern. This is important even if you have a larger number of people in the No Pattern Needed range.
    • Jo Schmo and others in this sample vü falling in the No Pattern Needed range have a moderate Awareness Alert (yellow) when dealing with those in the Strong Need range. This means that Jo and the others in No Pattern Needed can adapt to the needs of those in the Strong Need range when awareness exists.
    • This will not be true when the vü contains one or more members in the Intense Rhythm and Flow range. When yüMIvü delivers a high (red) Awareness Alert, understand that intensity of this high need for a rhythmic, repetitive pace, and consistent pattern can be challenging. Before acting, take time to fully understand how to best respond or proceed to the individual(s) with the Intense Rhythm and Flow need.

  • When someone lands in the No Pattern Needed range, it doesn’t mean that patterns are problematic. While individuals in this range might feel a bit overwhelmed by those with a high need for a rhythmic, repetitive pace, and consistent pattern, they can still work together.
    • However, vü members will subconsciously begin to lean on their naturally optimal flow approaches.
    • If this happens within a group with a large number of No Pattern Needed individuals, the vü will start to operate outside of pace and patterns -- resulting in unintended friction between members from the No Pattern Needed range and those in the Strong Need and Intense Rhythm and Flow ranges.
    • Use Awareness Alerts to counter this default tendency to maximize the People Chemistry potential for your vü.

Approach

  • The Approach Meter reveals whether someone is most proficient working solo or on a team.
  • Certain people need time for introspection, some want to share ideas, while others can comfortably work in either setting.
  • yüMIvü uses insights on how to best structure group discussions and decision-making to make everyone comfortable.

yüMIvü Quick Take: How to Read the Approach Meter

The yüMIvü Approach Meter reveals whether the people in the vü need an opportunity for group sharing, for introspection, or if either approach is comfortable when engaging.

It is displayed as a continuum of individuals on the left who will naturally desire to be Engaged and Involved through to those on the right who lean toward being Introspective and Individual. The meter is broken into color-coded zones, which represent what is needed for an individual to decide on a next step.

Each range has a scaled blue reading on the left side of the Approach Meter representing Engaged and Involved and a scaled purple reading on the right representing Introspective and Individual. Whether a person falls on the left or right side depends on their own leaning, which may range from very slight to substantial.

NOTE: When no one falls within a range it will be grayed out in the vü.

Understand the Ranges

  • Neutral – Those with a personal leaning but also a heightened awareness of other group member’s needs for introspection and/or engaged sharing.
  • Needed – Those who need either additional processing or interaction time before acting or deciding.
  • High Need – Those who will have the most difficulty contributing to the group unless the need for contemplation or interaction is met.

Three additional distinctions may be displayed:

  • Own World – Individuals focused solely on successful outcomes related to their own goals and ideas.
  • Limited Need – Those indifferent to engagement with others before a decision or next step occurs.
  • Natural Leaders – an individual with a strong capacity to understand, engage, and lead other team members across all Approach Meter ranges. Natural Leaders are rare.

 

Communication

  • The Communication Meter reveals a person’s proficient ways to share and receive knowledge so that it is understood and retained.
  • Some prefer to talk, read, and write; others like to draw, graph, and visualize; some like hands-on learning and sharing; while others can comfortably work in more than one way.
  • yüMIvü recommends the most effective communication approaches for an individual or group; those that are workable; and those that should be avoided.

yüMIvü Quick Take: Understanding the Communication Meter

The yüMIvü Communication Meter is essential to the yüMIvü Friction Finder. It provides valuable insights to help you understand the factors contributing to many of our actions and human engagements. A solid understanding of the Communication Meter will help you prevent conflict and promote better interactions.

The yüMIvü Communication Meter uses three (3) forms to optimize communication:

  1. Show and Experience - Taking a hands-on approach to learn, retain, and transfer information
  2. Charts and Graphs - Using visuals to learn, retain, and transfer information
  3. Written and Spoken - Reading and writing to learn, retain, and transfer information

NOTE: An individual may be in one or more of these communication forms.

Within the above three forms, you will fall into one of the following four (4) categories:

  1. Dependency - By far the easiest way to communicate
  2. Dominant - Very comfortable communicating in this form
  3. Workable - May be effective, but other forms are easier
  4. Challenged - Possible yet by far the least natural

In some cases, yüMIvü considers profile date from two other Meters:

  1. Perspectives – to what degree a defined and/or logical processes is needed
  2. Consistency – how much stability and repetition is needed

When you begin to understand how these elements interrelate, you’ll get the most out of yüMIvü. However, don’t worry if all of this seems overwhelming! yüMIvü works in the background to deliver the information to you in an easily understandable format. Following are Ways to Use the Communication Meter to improve interaction with others.


Understand the Order of the Communication Categories

  • Look at the order of communication forms for your group vü. The most effective way to find “common ground” is listed first. In the example above, this is Show and Experience.

  • Next, look at your alignment within these categories:
    • Dependency
    • Dominant
    • Workable
    • Challenged

  • Match your communications to your vü:
    • If you have members with Dependency, the group will use this form whenever possible. It requires significant effort for those with a Dependency to use other communication forms.
    • Individuals with Dependency, Dominant, and Workable readings in the same form (i.e., Show and Experience, Charts and Graphs, and Written and Spoken) communicate with relative ease.
    • Asking Challenged individuals to adapt to a form of communication that is less natural for them will take time and energy and may be difficult.

TIP: The “common ground” for the largest group in your vü is listed first. But keep in mind that it is not necessarily the easiest communication form for every member in the group. Keep reading to learn more about how to communicate with individuals in forms that are different from what yüMIvü shows is most effective for the full group vü.

Recognize the Best Communication Forms for the Whole Group and Smaller Subgroups.

  • yüMIvü helps you avoid conflict by looking for compatible combinations for working together.
  • There will be one form of communication recommended for the full group vü.
  • However, if your vü consists of members who have either Dependency or Challenged readings within each form, using a form of communication that aligns to the individual or smaller subgroups instead of one single form for all will be useful.
  • Failing to recognize through the Awareness Alerts that some will have a harder time using the communication form recommended for the entire group can lead to friction.

Look for Connecting Points

TIP: In this example, use hands-on communication methods to tap into the Show and Experience dominance. Also, spend time talking through what you are doing and/or write out the steps used in Show and Experience to leverage the Written and Spoken dominance.

NOTE: You can have more than one “best” form of Communication.

  • In this example picture, vü members are similar in that three (3) are Dominant and two (2) Workable in two different forms of communication -- Show and Experience and Written and Spoken.
  • In these cases, blend the communication forms as noted in the TIP.
  • Blending ensures that everyone in the group is benefitting from a Workable form of Communication while also incorporating the Dominant forms for all members in the group vü.
  • In this example picture, members will need more time to Translate any “Charts and Graphs” forms of communication.

Look for the Additional Coaching Insights

When appropriate, yüMIvü suggests ways to modify the way you communicate to improve understanding. This is indicated by a copy box as shown below.

  • When members of your vü have dependency-level or standard Dominant Traits for Logic and Numbers and/or Pace and Pattern, pay attention to coaching content to understand the best way to communicate as a group.
  • Awareness and easy adjustments go a long way to optimize your team’s engagement.

Encourage “Translate and Clarify” Strategies

 

  • Dependency or Dominant individuals will need time to translate to other forms of communication to share information.
  • The good news is, the more yüMIvü Awareness Alerts are acted on, the less this will happen.
  • Challenged individuals should keep in mind it is important to recognize when this is happening and use the yüMIvü Translate and Clarify strategy.
  • In the example above, the group should Translate and Clarify to transfer the Written and Spoken communication mode to Show and Experience. This can be as simple as asking, “Can you show me what you are saying?” That one question has the potential to greatly improve understanding and engagement for the full group vü.

TIP: In yüMIvü, Translate and Clarify is the act of moving interaction to a communication form that is at least Workable for all individuals.

    • We retain usage information (e.g., visits to sites) in a depersonalized or aggregated form. Once aggregated, this information ceases to be personal and will not be subject to user deletion requests.

Deleting Personal InformationYou can delete your Personal Information from yüMIvü at any time through the user interface of the yüMIvü application.

We have measures in place to protect against inappropriate access, loss, misuse, or alteration of Personal Information (including Genetic Information) under our control.The yüMIvü Security Team regularly reviews our security and privacy practices and enhances them as necessary to help ensure the integrity of our systems and your Personal Information.We use secure server software to encrypt Personal Information (including yüMIvü test Information), and we only partner with security companies that meet and commit to our security standards. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we use reasonable efforts to prevent this.It is also important for you to guard against unauthorized access to your Personal Information by maintaining strong passwords and protecting against the unauthorized use of your own computer or device.Authorized Agents.The CCPA allows California residents to use “authorized agents” to make requests to know and requests for deletion. This Acceptable Use Policy sets out a list of acceptable and unacceptable conduct for our Services. If we believe a violation of the policy is deliberate, repeated or presents a credible risk of harm to other users, our customers, the Services or any third parties, we may suspend or terminate your access. This policy may change as yüMIvü grows and evolves, so please check back regularly for updates and changes. Capitalized terms used below but not defined in this policy have the meaning set forth in the User Terms of Service.

Do:

  • Comply with all User Terms of Service, including the terms of this Acceptable Use Policy;
  • Comply with all applicable laws and governmental regulations, including, but not limited to, all intellectual property, data, privacy, and export control laws, and regulations promulgated by any government agencies, including, but not limited to, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and any rules of any national and other securities exchanges;
  • Upload and disseminate only Customer Data to which Customer owns all required rights under law and under contractual and fiduciary relationships (such as proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements) and do so only consistent with applicable law;
  • Use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access to or use of the Services;
  • Keep passwords and all other login information confidential;
  • Monitor and control all activity conducted through your account in connection with the Services;
  • Promptly notify us if you become aware of or reasonably suspect any illegal or unauthorized activity or a security breach involving your accounts or teams, including any loss, theft, or unauthorized disclosure or use of a username, password, or account; and
  • Comply in all respects with all applicable terms of the third party applications, including any that Customer elects to integrate with the Services that you access or subscribe to in connection with the Services.

Do Not:

  • Permit any third party that is not an Authorized User to access or use a username or password for the Services;
  • Share, transfer or otherwise provide access to an account designated for you to another person;
  • Use the Services to store or transmit any Customer Data that may infringe upon or misappropriate someone else’s trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property, or that may be tortious or unlawful;
  • Upload to, or transmit from, the Services any data, file, software, or link that contains or redirects to a virus, Trojan horse, worm, or other harmful component or a technology that unlawfully accesses or downloads content or information stored within the Services or on the hardware of YUMIVI or any third party;
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, hack, disable, interfere with, disassemble, modify, copy, translate, or disrupt the features, functionality, integrity, or performance of the Services (including any mechanism used to restrict or control the functionality of the Services), any third party use of the Services, or any third party data contained therein (except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law);
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems or networks or to defeat, avoid, bypass, remove, deactivate, or otherwise circumvent any software protection or monitoring mechanisms of the Services;
  • Access the Services in order to build a similar or competitive product or service or copy any ideas, features, functions, or graphics of the Services;
  • Use the Services in any manner that may harm minors or that interacts with or targets people under the age of thirteen;
  • Engage in activity that incites or encourages violence or hatred against individuals or groups;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, an employee of ours, an “Administrator”, an “Owner”, or any other Authorized User, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person, organization or entity;
  • Use the Services to provide material support or resources (or to conceal or disguise the nature, location, source, or ownership of material support or resources) to any organization(s) designated by the United States government as a foreign terrorist organization pursuant to section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act or other laws and regulations concerning national security, defense or terrorism;
  • Access, search, or create accounts for the Services by any means other than our publicly supported interfaces (for example, "scraping" or creating accounts in bulk);
  • Send unsolicited communications, promotions or advertisements, or spam;
  • Send altered, deceptive or false source-identifying information, including "spoofing" or "phishing";
  • Use contact or other user information obtained from the Services (including email addresses) to contact Authorized Users outside of the Services without their express permission or authority or to create or distribute mailing lists or other collections of contact or user profile information for Authorized Users for use outside of the Services; or
  • Authorize, permit, enable, induce or encourage any third party to do any of the above.

Your use of our Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which covers how we collect, use, share, and store your personal information. As part of these User Terms, you agree to comply with the most recent version of our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these User Terms. If you access or use the Services, or continue accessing or using the Services after being notified of a change to the User Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, you confirm that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by the User Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.We may make changes to these User TermsWe may modify these User Terms and our Privacy Policy from time to time. You may also share and compare your profile with individuals or entities who subscribe and pay for services provided by yüMIvü (“Customer”).You are not charged for your personal yüMIvü account or to share your profile with others. Instead, individuals and organizations subscribe to paid services under a Customer Contract (“defined below”) which enables group views to compare the profiles of multiple individuals and to provide insights and guidance from a group perspective.In connection with your use of the Services, you may have the ability to input or upload text, images, photos, videos, sounds, links, works of authorship, or other materials (collectively, “Content“). We do not claim ownership of your Content. By posting or sharing the Content, you grant to us only the limited rights that are reasonably necessary for us to provide the Services to you and the Customer. You represent and warrant that: (a) you own your Content or otherwise have the right to grant the license set forth in this section, and (b) transmitting your Content on or through the Services does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark rights, contract rights or any other rights of any person or entity. User shall only collect, process, use, store, disclose and transfer Content in compliance with any applicable Third-Party Terms, privacy policies or policies issued by Customer.You agree that yüMIvü does not have any control over the Content that passes through yüMIvü’ systems and networks through the Services. yüMIvü is not responsible for monitoring your Content and collects such Content automatically under your direction when providing the Services to you and the Customer. We may, but do not have any obligation to, remove any of the Content from the Services in our sole discretion, including if we determine that it may violate another person’s intellectual property rights, this Agreement, any applicable Third-Party Terms, or applicable law.You agree that yüMIvü will have access to the Content as it is being transmitted via the Services to the applicable Third-Party System and may need to translate, reformat, re-tag or otherwise modify technical elements of the Content.You agree that after termination of this Agreement, you may not have access to the Content via the Services.Connect you with people and organizations you care aboutThe User Terms provide you with the right to invite and/or accept invitations to compare your yüMIvü insights with other users. We reserve the right to determine the number of comparisons for your account.yüMIvü does not allow alteration of the insights you or others can view when using yüMIvü. Information about you, however, does enable others to understand your preferences. Be advised that we do not influence, control, or bear any responsibility for those you select to establish a connection. We recommend you choose to connect with trusted users and Groups.About the yüMIvü CustomerA Customer is capable of sending an invitation to users to join a group space (i.e., a unique domain where a group of users may access the Services). If you are joining one of your employer’s group spaces, for example, Customer is your employer. If you are joining a group space created by your friend using her personal email address, she is our Customer and she is authorizing you to join her group space.You and Your Affiliated Organization(s)These User Terms apply to you as a user of the Services and are entered into between yüMIvü and you. Your participation with any other user and/or a Customer is solely managed by you through the yüMIvü application. yüMIvü, at its discretion, can set auto expiration criteria for your affiliations.yüMIvü enables you to socially link your personal user account with a Customer. When you create or join such a group within an account managed by a Customer, you will also be required to accept a Customer Contract for each group you select for affiliation. You cannot join a group without first accepting our User Terms.What This Means for You -- and for UsCustomer has separately agreed to our Customer Terms of Service or entered into a written agreement with us (in either case, the “Customer Contract”) that permitted Customer to create and configure a group space so that you and others could join (each invitee granted access to the Services, including you, is an “Authorized User”). The Customer Contract contains our commitment to deliver the Services to Customer, who may then invite Authorized Users to join its group space(s). When an Authorized User (including, you) submits Content or information to the Services (“Customer Data”), you agree that the Customer Data is owned by Customer, and the Customer Contract provides Customer with many choices and control over that Customer Data. For example, Customer may provision or deprovision access to the Services, enable or disable third party integrations, manage permissions, retention and export settings, transfer or assign group spaces, or consolidate your group space with other group spaces, and these choices and instructions may result in the access, use, disclosure, modification or deletion of certain or all Customer Data. A Customer may not transfer your permissions to another party without your consent.The Relationship Between You, Customer and UsAS BETWEEN US AND CUSTOMER, YOU AGREE THAT IT IS SOLELY CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO (A) INFORM YOU AND ANY AUTHORIZED USERS OF ANY RELEVANT CUSTOMER POLICIES AND PRACTICES AND ANY SETTINGS THAT MAY IMPACT THE PROCESSING OF CUSTOMER DATA; (B) OBTAIN ANY RIGHTS, PERMISSIONS OR CONSENTS FROM YOU AND ANY AUTHORIZED USERS THAT ARE NECESSARY FOR THE LAWFUL USE OF CUSTOMER DATA AND THE OPERATION OF THE SERVICES; (C) ENSURE THAT THE TRANSFER AND PROCESSING OF CUSTOMER DATA UNDER THE CONTRACT IS LAWFUL; AND (D) RESPOND TO AND RESOLVE ANY DISPUTE WITH YOU AND ANY AUTHORIZED USER RELATING TO OR BASED ON CUSTOMER DATA, THE SERVICES OR CUSTOMER’S FAILURE TO FULFILL THESE OBLIGATIONS. yüMIvü MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO YOU RELATING TO OUR SERVICES PROVIDED BY A CUSTOMER, WHICH ARE PROVIDED TO YOU ON AN “AS IS” AND “ AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.Service EligibilityOur Services are not for use by anyone under the age of 13.To use the Services, you agree that: (1) you must be the “Minimum Age” (described below) or older; (2) you will only have one yüMIvü account, which must be in your real name; and (3) you are not already restricted by yüMIvü from using the Services. Creating an account with false information is a violation of our terms, including accounts registered on behalf of others or persons under the age of 13.“Minimum Age” means 13 years old. You must also keep that information true, accurate, current, and complete after you create your account. As between you and others (including your employer), your account belongs to you. However, if the Services were purchased by another party for you to use, the party paying for such Service has the right to control access to and get reports on your use of such paid Service; however, they do not have rights to your personal account.You agree to abide by the requirements and other restrictions and limitations concerning the Services as described when you create an account for the Services. We will provide you with a unique set of credentials for each individual that will be granted access to the Services (“ID Credentials”).   • Permission to share insights (individual and aggregated) based on your yüMIvü assessment data with others you have approved for the sharing of your information.
  • Permission to use your name and profile picture in provisioning of our Services to you as a user, and other users or Groups as approved by you.
  • Permission to update software you use or download: If you download or use our software, you give us permission to download and install updates to the software where available.

Intellectual Property Rights; Ownership.Rights in the ServicesExcept for the limited rights granted herein during the term of the User Terms, any and all rights in and to the Services and the yüMIvü website, including all intellectual property rights, including but not limited to our trademarks, copyrights, patents, and all related rights, in and to the foregoing, are and shall remain the exclusive property of yüMIvü. yüMIvü reserves all rights not expressly granted herein. Nothing in the User Terms will transfer any such rights to, or to vest any such rights in, you. You will not take any action to copy, jeopardize, infringe, limit, or interfere with yüMIvü’ intellectual property rights. Any unauthorized use of the Services or our intellectual property rights is a violation of the User Terms and may also constitute a violation of intellectual property laws and treaties, including without limitation copyright laws and trademark laws.Usage DataWe may collect usage data, event logs, performance data, error monitoring and other data related to how you use and interact with the Services (“Usage Data”). Your rights in the assessments and/or the assessment reports created through your use of the Services include and are expressly limited to the following: (i) the limited access rights to use the Services to complete the assessment; (ii) limited access rights to use the Services to view the assessment report related to the assessment; (iii) the opportunity to download certain reports and information as permitted by the Services; and (iv) the opportunity to use what you have learned from the process of using the Services and seeing the assessment reports, as one data point in assessing the significance of your indicated personal characteristics. You hereby grant yüMIvü the royalty free, irrevocable, perpetual right and license to use, copy, modify, distribute, aggregate, compile and/or publish in its original or modified form the information contained in assessment reports or derived from the assessment process, provided that in doing so yüMIvü does not provide your personal information to identify you to others as the subject of the assessment report.Confidentiality and PrivacyConfidentialityYou agree that you will treat the Services, including but not limited to, the assessments, the assessment reports, any information downloaded by you or disclosed to you by yüMIvü through the Services, and your password and related access information to the Services as Confidential Information and the trade secrets of yüMIvü. You shall not provide access to the Services to any other person without the express written permission of yüMIvü. The yüMIvü Approach Meter reveals whether the people in the vü need an opportunity for group sharing, for introspection, or if either approach is comfortable when engaging.

It is displayed as a continuum of individuals on the left who will naturally desire to be Engaged and Involved through to those on the right who lean toward being Introspective and Individual. The meter is broken into color-coded zones, which represent what is needed for an individual to decide on a next step.

Each range has a scaled blue reading on the left side of the Approach Meter representing Engaged and Involved and a scaled purple reading on the right representing Introspective and Individual. Whether a person falls on the left or right side depends on their own leaning, which may range from very slight to substantial.

The yüMIvü Communication Meter uses three (3) forms to optimize communication:

These User Terms of Service (“User Terms”) govern your access and use of our online collaboration products that simplify how people connect with each other, communicate, transfer information, and create better outcomes for individuals, groups, professionals, and businesses the “Services”). Please read them carefully.Before we move forwardThese User Terms are Legally BindingThese User Terms are a legally binding contract between you and yüMIvü (“User Contract”). Your use of our Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which covers how we collect, use, share, and store your personal information. As part of these User Terms, you agree to comply with the most recent version of our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these User Terms. If you access or use the Services, or continue accessing or using the Services after being notified of a change to the User Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, you confirm that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by the User Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.We may make changes to these User TermsWe may modify these User Terms and our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to it, we will provide you notice through our Services, or by other means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. We agree that changes cannot be retroactive. If you object to any changes, you may close your account. Your continued use of our Services after we publish or send a notice about our changes to these terms means that you are consenting to the updated terms as of their effective date.The yüMIvü experienceyüMIvü enables you to create a profile and to share and compare it with individual persons who have also registered as users. You can complete the yüMIvü assessment and access insights to help you collaborate in ways that fully align to others yüMIvü insight preferences. You may also share and compare your profile with individuals or entities who subscribe and pay for services provided by yüMIvü (“Customer”).You are not charged for your personal yüMIvü account or to share your profile with others. Instead, individuals and organizations subscribe to paid services under a Customer Contract (“defined below”) which enables group views to compare the profiles of multiple individuals and to provide insights and guidance from a group perspective.In connection with your use of the Services, you may have the ability to input or upload text, images, photos, videos, sounds, links, works of authorship, or other materials (collectively, “Content“). We do not claim ownership of your Content. By posting or sharing the Content, you grant to us only the limited rights that are reasonably necessary for us to provide the Services to you and the Customer. You represent and warrant that: (a) you own your Content or otherwise have the right to grant the license set forth in this section, and (b) transmitting your Content on or through the Services does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark rights, contract rights or any other rights of any person or entity. User shall only collect, process, use, store, disclose and transfer Content in compliance with any applicable Third-Party Terms, privacy policies or policies issued by Customer.You agree that yüMIvü does not have any control over the Content that passes through yüMIvü’ systems and networks through the Services. yüMIvü is not responsible for monitoring your Content and collects such Content automatically under your direction when providing the Services to you and the Customer. We may, but do not have any obligation to, remove any of the Content from the Services in our sole discretion, including if we determine that it may violate another person’s intellectual property rights, this Agreement, any applicable Third-Party Terms, or applicable law.You agree that yüMIvü will have access to the Content as it is being transmitted via the Services to the applicable Third-Party System and may need to translate, reformat, re-tag or otherwise modify technical elements of the Content.You agree that after termination of this Agreement, you may not have access to the Content via the Services.Connect you with people and organizations you care aboutThe User Terms provide you with the right to invite and/or accept invitations to compare your yüMIvü insights with other users. We reserve the right to determine the number of comparisons for your account.yüMIvü does not allow alteration of the insights you or others can view when using yüMIvü. Information about you, however, does enable others to understand your preferences. Be advised that we do not influence, control, or bear any responsibility for those you select to establish a connection. We recommend you choose to connect with trusted users and Groups.About the yüMIvü CustomerA Customer is capable of sending an invitation to users to join a group space (i.e., a unique domain where a group of users may access the Services). If you are joining one of your employer’s group spaces, for example, Customer is your employer. If you are joining a group space created by your friend using her personal email address, she is our Customer and she is authorizing you to join her group space.You and Your Affiliated Organization(s)These User Terms apply to you as a user of the Services and are entered into between yüMIvü and you. Your participation with any other user and/or a Customer is solely managed by you through the yüMIvü application. yüMIvü, at its discretion, can set auto expiration criteria for your affiliations.yüMIvü enables you to socially link your personal user account with a Customer. When you create or join such a group within an account managed by a Customer, you will also be required to accept a Customer Contract for each group you select for affiliation. You cannot join a group without first accepting our User Terms.What This Means for You -- and for UsCustomer has separately agreed to our Customer Terms of Service or entered into a written agreement with us (in either case, the “Customer Contract”) that permitted Customer to create and configure a group space so that you and others could join (each invitee granted access to the Services, including you, is an “Authorized User”). The Customer Contract contains our commitment to deliver the Services to Customer, who may then invite Authorized Users to join its group space(s). When an Authorized User (including, you) submits Content or information to the Services (“Customer Data”), you agree that the Customer Data is owned by Customer, and the Customer Contract provides Customer with many choices and control over that Customer Data. For example, Customer may provision or deprovision access to the Services, enable or disable third party integrations, manage permissions, retention and export settings, transfer or assign group spaces, or consolidate your group space with other group spaces, and these choices and instructions may result in the access, use, disclosure, modification or deletion of certain or all Customer Data. A Customer may not transfer your permissions to another party without your consent.The Relationship Between You, Customer and UsAS BETWEEN US AND CUSTOMER, YOU AGREE THAT IT IS SOLELY CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO (A) INFORM YOU AND ANY AUTHORIZED USERS OF ANY RELEVANT CUSTOMER POLICIES AND PRACTICES AND ANY SETTINGS THAT MAY IMPACT THE PROCESSING OF CUSTOMER DATA; (B) OBTAIN ANY RIGHTS, PERMISSIONS OR CONSENTS FROM YOU AND ANY AUTHORIZED USERS THAT ARE NECESSARY FOR THE LAWFUL USE OF CUSTOMER DATA AND THE OPERATION OF THE SERVICES; (C) ENSURE THAT THE TRANSFER AND PROCESSING OF CUSTOMER DATA UNDER THE CONTRACT IS LAWFUL; AND (D) RESPOND TO AND RESOLVE ANY DISPUTE WITH YOU AND ANY AUTHORIZED USER RELATING TO OR BASED ON CUSTOMER DATA, THE SERVICES OR CUSTOMER’S FAILURE TO FULFILL THESE OBLIGATIONS. yüMIvü MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO YOU RELATING TO OUR SERVICES PROVIDED BY A CUSTOMER, WHICH ARE PROVIDED TO YOU ON AN “AS IS” AND “ AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.Service EligibilityOur Services are not for use by anyone under the age of 13.To use the Services, you agree that: (1) you must be the “Minimum Age” (described below) or older; (2) you will only have one yüMIvü account, which must be in your real name; and (3) you are not already restricted by yüMIvü from using the Services. Creating an account with false information is a violation of our terms, including accounts registered on behalf of others or persons under the age of 13.“Minimum Age” means 13 years old. However, if law requires that you must be older in order for yüMIvü to lawfully provide the Services to you without parental consent (including using of your personal data) then the Minimum Age is such older age.Service AvailabilityWe may change or end any Service or modify our prices prospectively. We may change, suspend or discontinue any of our Services. We may also modify our prices effective prospectively upon reasonable notice to the extent allowed under the law.Your AccountTo use our Services, you will be asked to create an account to become a user. Your responsibilities as a user are defined in our Acceptable Use Policy.As part of the account creation process, you will be asked to provide your email address, and create a password. Until you apply for an account, your access to our Services will be limited to what is available to the general public. When registering an account, you must provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as requested during the account creation process. You must also keep that information true, accurate, current, and complete after you create your account. As between you and others (including your employer), your account belongs to you. However, if the Services were purchased by another party for you to use, the party paying for such Service has the right to control access to and get reports on your use of such paid Service; however, they do not have rights to your personal account.You agree to abide by the requirements and other restrictions and limitations concerning the Services as described when you create an account for the Services. We will provide you with a unique set of credentials for each individual that will be granted access to the Services (“ID Credentials”). You may not share your ID Credentials, and you are responsible for any unauthorized access to your ID Credentials.You accept we need certain permissions from you to provide our services:

Intellectual Property Rights; Ownership.Rights in the ServicesExcept for the limited rights granted herein during the term of the User Terms, any and all rights in and to the Services and the yüMIvü website, including all intellectual property rights, including but not limited to our trademarks, copyrights, patents, and all related rights, in and to the foregoing, are and shall remain the exclusive property of yüMIvü. yüMIvü reserves all rights not expressly granted herein. Nothing in the User Terms will transfer any such rights to, or to vest any such rights in, you. You will not take any action to copy, jeopardize, infringe, limit, or interfere with yüMIvü’ intellectual property rights. Any unauthorized use of the Services or our intellectual property rights is a violation of the User Terms and may also constitute a violation of intellectual property laws and treaties, including without limitation copyright laws and trademark laws.Usage DataWe may collect usage data, event logs, performance data, error monitoring and other data related to how you use and interact with the Services (“Usage Data”). To the extent we collect or generate Usage Data, it will be owned by us and we may use it for any lawful purpose.No Removal of NoticesYou agree that you will not remove, obscure, make illegible or alter any notices or indications of the intellectual property and/or yüMIvü’ rights and ownership thereof, whether such notice or indications are affixed on, contained in or otherwise connected to any materials.Ownership of and Use of ReportsThe Services, as well as the assessments and any assessment reports that may be created through your use of the Services, are the sole property of yüMIvü. Your rights in the assessments and/or the assessment reports created through your use of the Services include and are expressly limited to the following: (i) the limited access rights to use the Services to complete the assessment; (ii) limited access rights to use the Services to view the assessment report related to the assessment; (iii) the opportunity to download certain reports and information as permitted by the Services; and (iv) the opportunity to use what you have learned from the process of using the Services and seeing the assessment reports, as one data point in assessing the significance of your indicated personal characteristics. You hereby grant yüMIvü the royalty free, irrevocable, perpetual right and license to use, copy, modify, distribute, aggregate, compile and/or publish in its original or modified form the information contained in assessment reports or derived from the assessment process, provided that in doing so yüMIvü does not provide your personal information to identify you to others as the subject of the assessment report.Confidentiality and PrivacyConfidentialityYou agree that you will treat the Services, including but not limited to, the assessments, the assessment reports, any information downloaded by you or disclosed to you by yüMIvü through the Services, and your password and related access information to the Services as Confidential Information and the trade secrets of yüMIvü. You shall not provide access to the Services to any other person without the express written permission of yüMIvü. You will not disclose the Services contents, assessments, or assessment reports to any third party without the express written permission of yüMIvü.Privacy PolicyPlease review our Privacy Policy for more information on how we collect, use and share information in general, and our provisions Access Requests.Other Third-Party Components and SoftwareYou acknowledge and agree that (a) the Services may contain other software or components that are either owned by a third party or in the public domain, and (b) yüMIvü has no proprietary interest in such software or components (collectively and each, the “Third-Party Software”), and as such, cannot grant User a license to use such Third-Party Software.A listing of such Third-Party Software is available upon written request. Your rights in the Third-Party Software are governed by and subject to the terms and conditions defined in the applicable third-party license(s). You acknowledge and agree to fully comply with such terms and conditions. IN ADDITION TO ANY DISCLAIMERS SET FORTH IN SUCH TERMS AND CONDITIONS, THE DISCLAIMERS SET FORTH AND THE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY HEREIN THESE USER TERMS SHALL APPLY TO yüMIvü AND ITS LICENSORS WITH RESPECT TO SUCH THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE. In addition, certain components of the Services may, due to their interaction with third party software, be required to be made available to you under terms and conditions other than these User Terms.MaintenanceScheduled system maintenance will take place from time to time, and during such time, updates to the Services or elements thereof may be unavailable. Emergency maintenance may be required at other times in the event of system failure. In addition, you acknowledge that information found on the Services may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not be complete or current.Warranty NoticeTO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, AND WE HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS WITH RESPECT THERETO, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND/OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OF ACCURACY, OF QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND OF NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT AGAINST INTERFERENCE WITH USER’S ENJOYMENT OF THE SERVICE, THAT THE FUNCTIONS CONTAINED IN OR PERFORMED OR PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE WILL MEET USER’S REQUIREMENTS, THAT THE OPERATION OF THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED. NO ORAL OR WRITTEN INFORMATION OR ADVICE THAT WE GIVE SHALL CREATE A WARRANTY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONS ON APPLICABLE STATUTORY RIGHTS OF A CONSUMER, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION AND LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY.Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, yüMIvü makes no warranty, expressed or implied, regarding accuracy, adequacy, completeness, legality, readability, reliability or usefulness of any Content that is transmitted via the Services. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness and appropriate rendering of Content before and after transmission through the Services.Limitation of LiabilityIN NO EVENT WILL YOU OR WE HAVE ANY LIABILITY TO THE OTHER FOR ANY LOST PROFITS OR REVENUES OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE CONSEQUENTIAL, COVER OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES HOWEVER CAUSED, WHETHER IN CUSTOMER CONTRACT, TORT OR UNDER ANY OTHER THEORY OF LIABILITY, AND WHETHER OR NOT THE PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. UNLESS YOU ARE ALSO A CUSTOMER (AND WITHOUT LIMITATION TO OUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES UNDER THE CUSTOMER CONTRACT), YOU WILL HAVE NO FINANCIAL LIABILITY TO US FOR A BREACH OF THESE END USER TERMS. OUR MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY BREACH OF THE USER TERMS IS ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) IN THE AGGREGATE. THE FOREGOING DISCLAIMERS WILL NOT APPLY TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW AND DO NOT LIMIT EITHER PARTY’S RIGHT TO SEEK AND OBTAIN EQUITABLE RELIEF.IndemnificationYou agree to defend, indemnify, and hold yüMIvü and our employees, contractors, officers and directors harmless from all liabilities, claims and expenses, including attorney’s fees, that arise from: (i) your use or misuse of the Services or the content therein; and (ii) your Content, including without limitation claims, damages and liabilities arising from User’s failure to comply with applicable law, or with any privacy policy or other agreement under which such Content was obtained. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defenses.Term and TerminationThis User Terms will be effective as of the Effective Date and will remain effective until you elect to terminate access to our Services, Customer’s contract for you expires or terminates, or your access to the Services has been terminated by Customer or us.We may terminate the User Terms with immediate effect at any time. Without limiting other remedies, yüMIvü may limit, suspend, or terminate the User Terms and your use of the Services, with immediate effect, automatically and without recourse, if we reasonably believe that you are in breach of the terms of the User Terms. yüMIvü shall effect such termination by providing notice to you to the email address you have provided, and/or by preventing your access to the Services.Upon termination of the User Terms: (i) all licenses and rights to use the Services shall immediately terminate; and (ii) you will immediately cease any and all use of the Services. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the following Sections will survive any termination of the User Terms:

GeneralElectronic Signature(s)You hereby agree to the use of electronic communication and to the electronic delivery of notices. Furthermore, you hereby waive any rights or requirements under any laws or regulations in any jurisdiction which requires an original (non-electronic) signature or delivery or retention of non-electronic records, to the extent permitted under applicable mandatory law.ModificationsWe may modify the User Terms from time to time. Any modification shall be effective when we notify you of the modification (via an update delivered through the Services or via email or other notification) and you continue to use the Services after such date.WaiverNo failure or delay by either party in exercising any right under the User Terms will constitute a waiver of that right. No waiver under the User Terms will be effective unless made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of the party being deemed to have granted the waiver.SeverabilityIf any provision of the User Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to law, the provision will be modified by the court and interpreted so as best to accomplish the objectives of the original provision to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions of the End User Terms will remain in effect.AssignmentYou may not assign any of your rights or delegate your obligations under the User Terms, whether by operation of law or otherwise, without the prior written consent of us (not to be unreasonably withheld). We may assign the User Terms in its entirety (including all terms and conditions incorporated herein by reference), without your consent, to a corporate affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets.Waiver of Jury Trial; Attorneys’ FeesEach party also hereby waives any right to jury trial in connection with any action or litigation in any way arising out of or related to the User Terms. In any action or proceeding to enforce rights under the User Terms, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover its reasonable costs and attorney’s fees.ArbitrationAny dispute, controversy or claim arising out of the User Terms will be settled by binding arbitration pursuant to the Commercial Rules (or Consumer Rules, to the extent applicable) of the American Arbitration Association (“Rules”) then in effect. Notwithstanding those Rules, the following provisions will apply to such arbitration: (a) Nebraska law shall apply, (b) the arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator; however, at the request of either party, a panel of three arbitrators will conduct the arbitration, with one arbitrator chosen by each of the parties and the third appointed by the other two arbitrators, (c) the fees of the arbitrator(s) shall be equally borne (50/50) by the parties, and (d) the proceedings shall be in the English language and shall take place in Lincoln, Nebraska, User’s home state or another location reasonably convenient to both parties. The arbitrator(s) shall reach a binding decision regarding the issues presented as it deems fair, reasonable and appropriate, and such decision shall have the full force and effect of a binding judgment, which may be entered in any court having proper jurisdiction. Each party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. You and yüMIvü agree to resolve any dispute in arbitration on an individual basis only, and not on a class or collective basis. The arbitrator shall have no authority to consider or resolve any claim or issue any relief on any basis other than an individual basis. If at any point this provision is determined to be unenforceable, the parties agree that this provision shall not be severable, unless it is determined that the arbitration may still proceed on an individual basis only.Governing LawThe User Terms shall, for all domestic and international purposes, be governed, interpreted, construed and enforced solely and exclusively in accordance with the laws of the State of Nebraska, U.S.A., without regard to conflicts of law provisions.Entire AgreementThe User Terms, including any terms incorporated by reference into the User Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and us and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals or representations, written or oral, concerning its subject matter. To the extent of any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions in the User Terms and any pages referenced in the User Terms, the terms of the User Terms will first prevail; provided, however, that if there is a conflict or inconsistency between the Customer Contract and the User Terms, the terms of the Customer Contract will first prevail, followed by the provisions in the User Terms, and then followed by the pages referenced in the User Terms (e.g., the Privacy Policy). Customer will be responsible for notifying Authorized Users of those conflicts or inconsistencies and until such time the terms set forth herein will be binding.Contacting yüMIvü.
